MIXED MEDIA ON PAPER

Inner Figures explores the human figure as an interior territory – a constructed, permeable space shaped by memory, repetition and transformation. Rather than representing individual bodies, the works approach the figure as a container in which traces accumulate and inner states gradually take form.

Marks, fragments of writing, geometric structures and areas of density build surfaces that behave like archives, holding traces of time and experience. These accumulated structures are continuously balanced by moments of dissolution, openness and silence.

Architecture informs the way the body is approached: as an inhabited structure, capable of containing, dividing, protecting and transforming. Recurring thresholds, axes and fields create spaces in which the boundary between interior and exterior becomes unstable.

Across the series, the figure becomes both structure and site of transformation, a temporary form through which memory, tension and change can become visible.
